TNNA Giveaway Winners

CT May/ June 2012
Congratulations to all the winners!  Totally picked at random.  Here are some of the projects and ideas i will have to ponder while I am designing this year.

From Blog Comments: Shorty is looking for some vintage baby patterns.  I love vintage patterns too.  So much so when Crochet Today asked me to redo a vintage baby pattern for their issue, I jumped at it.  I can't wait to get to design some more!

From Ravelry: Zima21 looking for some lightweight summer sweaters.  I hear you there!  That's exactly why I designed the Dream Motif Tunic.  I am in full swing trying to come up with something just as cute for next summer already!

From Blog Comments: Marie/ Underground Crafter wants to make a vintage looking (but modern charted) bedspread.  Oooh!  I like it.  Have you seen Crochet Traditions?  They always inspire me with their vintage projects.  Or I think Marly's Damask Afghan would also be stunning.  I have a few shawls inspired from bedspreads on my blocking board at the minute.

From Twitter: Joyce asked for things for men that don't wear sweaters or hats.  Man, men are SO challenging to crochet.  I will say my go to think to crochet for men are hats and socks.  I live in a cold weather climate, and they always need things to keep them warm.  Actually, that's one of the reason's I designed my sock pattern was for real true socks that can be warn in shoes.  I have had some success with silly toys, like robots and cars and such.  Just brings a smile to their face no matter the age.  I will have to ponder that one a while and think of other things for them.

From Blog Comments: Tanya904 is looking for something light and airy for herself since she lives in Florida.  This is when I look to my friends and family for inspiration!  I have lots of family in Jacksonville, FL and my nieces and sister-in-law are the most fashionable out there.  They always have great accessories.  I would look out for jewelry patterns.  I find that wearing the simplest of pieces can spark so many conversions.

I have been trying to find a couple of patterns from Knit & Crochet Now episode #205. I have given up on Brett's flowered Granny Square of the week, I wrote her, the show, etc....w/ no response. BUT, I cannot give up on the Mosaic Crochet footstool cover you demonstrated, I really want to try that. Again, I have tried emailing & posting over & over again, & searched the web repeatedly w/ no luck. This is my last hope.

Well I tried to put my excitement and thanks on Twitter, but it took a few messages! It was so exciting getting a signed book from you! I've been wanting to buy it, but I have the CD class to make a sweater, so I figured I'd hold off! And the yarns are so beautiful and different. I can't wait to use them. Knowing me, I'll keep looking for the "perfect" item for them, but I actually have lots of ideas already. Thank you so much. I definitely report back when I make some things.

Thanks so much, Robyn! The package arrived yesterday and it is way beyond my wildest expectations! I will let you know when I write a blog post about it all - which may be a little while, since I'm gearing up for the Ravellenic Games :).
