Hello October + Giveaway!
Welcome October!
I can't believe my maternity leave is over. It feels like it just started! Man, I have a tough boss making me come back only 6 weeks later ;) Well, let's just say I am back, but definitely not full-time yet. Little man still doesn't sleep through the night, so I am a bit foggy all the time. Coming back to work only really means I have given up cleaning the house entirely so I can squeeze an hour a day (maybe) to answer emails. I definitely will not be 100% for a number of weeks, so bear with me if I don't get to your questions right away. I am trying my best, I promise!
Still, its a new month, my favorite too! With a new baby to cuddle with as we watch the leaves change, what is not to love? October is my favorite month to design too. Something about that cool crisp air that gets my creativity juices flowing. Good thing since I have a couple of secret projects I need to get cracking on!
Speaking of getting those creativity juices flowing, did you know that the next season of Knit and Crochet Now begins airing this month? How perfect right? You can break out the yarn and get a jump on the winter crocheting, right? We taped this season in May when I was very pregnant, so it will be very funny to watch I am sure! There are a number of really fun projects this season so I really hope you will be able to tune in.
Speaking of tuning in, I got a bit of a giveaway for you guys! Annie's is giving away one copy of the entire Season 4 on DVD to one of you lucky stitchers. To enter, leave a comment (or email me) your favorite thing about autumn by next Wed Oct 9. I pick one winner and let them know by Friday the 11th.
Hope you will be able to get out an enjoy the Autumn weather and some new Knit and Crochet Now episodes as well!

Wow, I have never seen the Knit and Crochet show.
My favorite thing is picking apples and then making apple crisp as soon as we get home.
Welcome back, and take it easy!

My favorite thing about autumn is the turning of leaves. I love seeing their colors change over time.
Awesome!!
My fav is the colours of all the pretty leaves!!
I absolutely love autumn! I love to sit outside in the crisp, cool air and knit & crochet. I love the way the air smells in the fall as well. I live at the foot of the Blue Ridge mountains so you can only imagine how beautiful the leaves are here when they change!!

Autumn means the change of weather from hot and humid to cool and crisp--and the joy of wool fibers!

I love the smell of the leaves and the fresh crisp air.
Congratulations on your new little babe! My favorite thing in autumn is crunching through the leaves on the ground. Makes me feel like a little kid!
I love autumn because football starts and it is the PERFECT excuse to cuddle up on the couch with a larger crochet project while my husband enjoys the game. Right now I am working on a blanket for my friends wedding!-Thanks for the chance to win, I can't wait to see the new season!
My favorite thing about Autumn used to be going to high school football games and cheering the team on to victory. Since they closed the school, my new favorite thing is finding routes to and from work that have lots of trees so I drink in all that color-changing splendor twice a day!
My favorite thing about autumn? Cool temperatures and open windows.
I live in New England, so my favorite thing would have to be the vibrant fall colors!
Yay! My favorite thing about autumn is pumpkin flavored everything! Plus the weather becomes much more mild. :)
My favourite thing about autumn is to crochet scarves and shawls to get ready for winter!
My favorite thing, besides the colors of leaves and big sweaters, are the flavors! I love to bake and now is the time for pumpkin and apple and cinnamon. Yum! Thank you and congrats on the new little one!
The only thing I don't like are the shorter days. But otherwise I love the cooler weather, breaking out the sweaters, apple picking and making cider, pumpkin pie, and the leaves changing color
I love everything about autumn...even the name of the season is much softer than the others. It leads us into cozier times and it infinitely more enjoyable to feel wool moving through your hands and becoming something that you or someone you love can keep warm with in the coming month - WINTER. Congratulations on your new family member.
