From a reader, which blogger was not playing nicely with:

I bought your sock pattern. Thanks for adding to the small but growing number of them out there.
My LYSO talks down crocheted socks because she says they'd be uncomfortable underfoot. We'll see! Thanks for the inspiration.

P.S. The light blue in the symbol charts doesn't print out very well, in color or in b/w.

Cheers,
EL

My response:
Hope you like the pattern. I enjoy wearing crocheted socks. I think it is just a matter of preference.

Thanks for the comment about the color in the symbol charts too. I appreciate the feedback. I'll see what I can do to remedy that in the future.

Excellent, excellent, excellent! Have just bought the pattern, and once I've finished my current socks, I'm going to play with this pattern!

Hi
I'm trying the woodsy version. I don't quite understand the HDC middle loop. I can't see any horizontal loop below the usual loop. Or should I be looking for a vertical loop? I'm assuming that it's not part of the post of the stitch? Love the look of these socks.

Thanks.
