Repeat Rnd 1 3 (4, 5, 6) times. Fasten off MC
Rnd 4 (5, 6, 7): Join Color A
with a sl st in any st, ch 3 (counts as a dc), dc in each dc around, sl st to top
of beg ch-3, do not turn.
Repeat Rnd 1 twice more, Fasten off A.
Rnd 7 (8, 9, 10): Join Color B
with a sl st in any st, ch 3 (counts as a dc), dc in each dc around, sl st to top
of beg ch-3, do not turn.
Rnd 8 (9, 10, 11): Join Color B
with a sc in any st, sc in each dc around, sl st to first sc, fasten off B.
Last Rnd: Join Color C
with a sc in any st, sc in each sc around, sl st to first sc, fasten off C.
Finishing
Weave in all ends
Make 3" pom pom with Colors A, B,
and C. Wrap colors A, B, and C around 4
of your fingers or palm until it is nice and fat (does not have to be
tight). Cut yarn. Using one strand that is about 6” long, tie
very tightly around middle of bundle of yarn. Cut loop ends open, be careful
not to cut yarn that you tied around the middle. Trim ends into pom-pom shape you desire. Sew pom pom to top of hat.
