Giveaway
I have 5 (yes, 5) goody bags to give away.  Inside will be a random sampling of above (yarn, notions, books, etc).  You need to leave me a comment (here, at ravelry, on facebook, or twitter) or just email me what sort of project you have been dying to make but have not found the perfect pattern yet. (Yes, I am looking for direct inspiration from you!) Now here's the catch, if you win one of the goody bags, you must test out the products then TELL SOMEONE.  It can be your crochet group, your lunch buddies, or posting on facebook or ravelry. Just let someone else know what you thought.  All these products were donated by the companies to get feedback.  I will be doing my part, and I hope you will help me too.  I will keep this giveaway open for a week (Tuesday 7/17).  Make sure you also leave a way I can get a hold of you if you win too.  I will announce winners by Friday.  Good luck!

I would love to crochet an openwork sweater, either cardigan or tunic pullover. Nothing too fancy or flowery or fussy. I want the sort of thing I could wear everyday and to work.

I've been looking at vintage inspired baby patterns trying to find the perfect gift to stitch up for my sister who is pregnant with her first child. I would love to win one of your goodie bags! I'm happy to test out and chat about all the items inside the goodie bag on my podcast. Thanks so much for the chance to win!

I have some gorgeous yarn that I created a Yarnia in Portland, OR that I haven't figured out what to do with yet! I was thinking a lapghan, but can't find an interesting stitch pattern that doesn't detract from the many colors in the yarn.

i've been wanting to knit an afghan. like the: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-learn-to-knit-afghan
or the http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/fireside-patchwork-afghan
or one of the many sampler afghans... but i think i would like to make it a small lap rug size instead of huge.

thanks for the great giveaway!

I am slowly working my way through all of the patterns in the new Vogue Knitting Crochet 2012. I'd love to test out any of the yarns on one of my projects! Thanks for sharing with us! :)

Oh wow what an amazing giveaway! I'm particularly interested in motifs for seasonal things--flowers, pumpkins, hearts, etc--that I can use for decorating.

Hello from Greece!
I'm not sure if i can participate in this giveaway but i have in mind something like Woven Circles Trivet: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/woven-circles-trivet

Wow, the thing I really want to make? I probably have a hundred on my list! I really want to crochet one of those stained glass/mosaic afghans, but large enough to be a queen-sized quilt. One day! ;) I also want to make myself a sweater or pullover, but I just haven't found the PERFECT pattern yet...and who has the time? I'm constantly making for OTHER people, not myself. At the moment I'm working on a series of baby afghans that are made of VERY rich colors - Stitch Nation Bamboo Ewe for these! I'm so excited because the colors are so incredibly bright!

I have a very comfortable open work crochet cardigan that I bought several years ago. Everyone asks me if I made it & I wish I had the pattern for it so I could make another. Somehow, I've got to figure out the pattern so I can replicate it in another yarn/color.

Ive been looking for a cardigan that easy to crochet but hides all my body inperfections! But no too old ladyish??

JeanP said...

I would like to crochet and complete my first cardigan. I've tried several patterns but ended up ripping because I had problems with the pattern directions or didn't like the look.

I have been dying to try Tunisian crochet...I have been practicing stitches and am ready for my first project... I will definitely be blogging and talking about that if I win (or even if I don't win I will blog about that project!)...I love to test out new items... Thanks for thinking of us !!

I have been searching for the perfect vintage-style cropped cardigan. The patterns I've found so far are too chunky, so I'll probably have to search out an actual vintage pattern.

Anonymous said...

Not sure if your giveaway is worldwide, but anyway. I want that ultimate crochet sweater... not dense, not too open, drapy, and showing off the uniqueness of what can crochet can do.

sydneypaige said...

Wow, that's so generous of you to share your goodie bags!! I am an obsessive knitter/crocheter (ravid: sydneypaige) and always looking for a new challenge. Lately I've been looking for a good pattern/yarn match for KNIT diaper covers that are easy to get on and off and good for photo props. Everything I've found is crocheted. Once I come up with something good, I plan to blog my results (creativenorthwest.com/blog) and also put them on my facebook page (facebook.com/sydneypaigeknits). Thanks so much for this opportunity!

I have this super thin and super fuzzy yarn that I've been trying to find a pattern for, for AGES. Nothing seems to be the right fit.

Oooh, these look awesome. Thanks for hosting the giveaway, and if I win, I will definitely post reviews on my blog.

Ok, so the dream project? Currently I'm looking for a crochet motif pattern that looks vintage but with modern (i.e., detailed and clear) instructions to make my mom an awesome bedspread. Something that would look fabulous in thread or yarn and is really unique!

I've been looking for a perfect cardigan pattern to work for my 2 yr. old son. I don't want stripes, and it needs to have some sort of extra technique to keep me interested, cables perhaps. Oh, and no zipper, but really big buttons. It seems like there are TONS of patterns for little girls, but very few for little boys.

I am still on a quest for the perfect crochet fingerless glove pattern. Thanks for the chance to win

I've been looking for the perfect crochet sweater to work up! I want something really feminine, with some lace rick racky ribby details on the front panels. So far no luck :(

I would love really sexy crocheted sweaters, cropped like the type they wore back in the Mad Men era. I don't even know if it's possible but I'd love to make myself something like that and these days I only find them knit.

I'd love some yarn or whatever you want to send.

I would like to see more light weight sweaters. I have been looking for something to wear to the office in the summer that isn't too heavy but will keep me warm when the AC comes on. Most of the sweaters that I can find are on the bulky side or they are kitted. I am not very good at knitting and would love to see something for crochet! Thanks for the chance to win!--kateyhbf@gmail.com

I'm always looking for the perfect summer cardigan to wear over dresses at work. I'm always finding cropped sweaters, but would like something more classic.

How excellent of you to host this giveaway - there's no doubt that if I win one, I'll post reviews of the things I receive.

Now in terms of that project ... I'd really like to explore some more with my own copyy of CSVE.

Hi Robyn!

I'd love to win one of these goody bags =)

As far as projects go, I find something sorely missing in the general offerings : teenage girl clothing. My own daughter loves crocheted items, but even the smallest sizes are too big & the math involves leaves me uninspired. Children items are just too babyish for her.

So that's that =)

Thanks!

I am looking for the perfect poncho for fall/early winter wear. I would like it long enough to provide some warmth, but not so long as to look completely out of style. It would be great if you could design one!

I haven't been crocheting nearly enough recently, what with the heat and all... I think I'd like to make myself a flirty skirt for my next crochet project. Of course, my first priority is to make a little toy for my friend's new kitten!

My neice is expecting her first baby and I would love to crochet her a blanket not using the traditional baby yarn colors. Thanks you.

Thanks so much for the fun giveaway. I have been wanting to make a piece of clothing for myself. I live in Florida so don't have much use for sweaters or anything too heavy. I haven't found a pattern for something light and airy that fits my style

I have been looking for a pattern to crochet socks. I want to make some that aren't too lacy or too bulky. Also, we finally have a local yarn store here and I have been thinking about taking knitting classes, so I will be needing some knitting needles, etc. It is very generous of you, and also those vendors, to have such a fabulous giveaway. Were I to win, I would be sure to post products on Pinterest and on Ravelry. Thanks!

I have been dying to try some lovely, lacy crochet socks! Socks will be a first for me and I was inspired by the Vogue Knitting Crochet 2012 issue! I would love to share my goodie bag feedback on my facebook page!

The thing that I've been dying to crochet is a purse with actual organization built in! I don't want to have to make pockets with cloth and/or zippers, etc. I want to build the pockets for stuff like phones right into the project. I've seriously been looking everywhere, for years! Hopefully, I'll get brave enough to try inventing one on my own, soon.

I tweeted to u, but as. I don't see the request from anyone else, I'll put it out there again. Something for guys, teen to young adult, but they won't wear hats, scarves, gloves, sweaters, vests. And I've made afghans and remote control holders. What else could I make them. (I have 4 sons).

I'm looking for a vest for summer wear, very light, just a pop of color, flowing stitches, not too long but flattering... Don't ask for much, do I?

I've been looking for a basic-but-stylish glove pattern with fingers. It seems like there are so many fingerless choices, but a lot fewer for full gloves.

I have been slightly uninspired in my crocheting lately, and need a kick to get myself going. I'm thinking a nice open sweater in time for fall (perhaps the car coat in Bluepoint Crochet!).

Thanks for another great giveaway!

I would love to try out these new products. I have been trying to find the perfect pattern for a blanket. What I am trying to make is a lap blanket that is big enough to fit my two Chihuahua's as well as myself. The problem I am coming up with is that I don't want a full size blanket.

Robyn - I've been dying to try a project I found on Ravelry that reminds me of a scarf I fell in love with from Garnet Hill (but didn't want to pay an arm & a leg for!). It's called The Afghan Scarf by Tracy St. John. Would be BEAUTIFUL in some gorgeous, luxury yarn!

PS - So excited when your new book arrived in the mail from Amazon. Can't wait to get started on those patterns, too! :)

I have been haunted for the past year and a half by this idea of a beautiful coral color dress that would be great as a day or night look... It's the reason I taught myself to crochet and trying to figure out the inner workings of making fitted garments. I bought the color it should be in the fiber I liked, but the project has turned into this HUGE undertaking that has now scared me into not wanting to even work it out. So instead I have just been doing alot of little projects in hope that it would build my confidence in getting this dress done. Tinniss1@gmail.com
