Heading Back

Well I have good news and bad news. Good news is that I'm heading back home, bad news is that I'm heading back home.

I am leaving the conference a few days early on total protest, not of someone- but my tummy. I caught a bug and instead of making everyone else sick, I am heading home to rest. I am so bummed out, but getting well is the smartest.

Still... The conference was a lot of fun. Drew let me help out at PDD, and we had so much fun giving away tons of prizes. How many? Well one for every attendant! Pretty wild! I got to preach my methods to join me on the inside of the crochet design world to great students. I got to hug and hug all wonderful readers who stopped me to say hi! Hi guys!

I met one woman who told me she is crocheting now after 40yrs because of a pattern of mine- how amazing is that? Another stopped me to thank me for bringing back crochet symbols. And more stopped me to autograph books and postcards. I believe my face will be scarlet red for quite a while! Thank you so much for coming to say hi to me- I can not tell you how much that means to me that you like my work.

Best part of the week was seeing everyone's amazing handmade items. I totally apologize if I seemed distracted when I talked to you, I was just loving seeing everyone's beautiful work. That and getting to hang out with some of the nicest people on the planet. More details when my tummy is behaving.

I'm sorry you're sick and have to leave early, but I agree, it's best. You deserve a break! I can't wait to hear more about the conference ... when you're better!

Robyn, I am so sorry to hear you got sick and had to leave the conference early! What a bummer! I am glad you have a good time at PPD, though. I had to miss Chain Link altogether this year, boo hoo! I hope you are now feeling better...

I tried to stop by and see you Saturday afternoon but heard you were sick. What a bummer to have to miss the fun for such a yucky reason. I hope you're feeling better now!

Robyn - I'm so sorry you weren't feeling well and had to leave. I was thrilled to finally meet you though. Sorry I was so out of it -I had just driven to Manchester after very little sleep the night before and the previous week in the tent. The Crystal Lace Bolero received lots of compliments all day.. you witnessed 2 ladies asking about it. The Mission Falls Go Crochet garments looked fanstastic on display and the Calla Lily Cowl was awesome in both Fashion shows. You ahould be proud!

Robyn, I'm so sorry you had to leave early, totally against your will! I had to leave and go home that Friday, too, so I could take my dd to high school marching band form/fit/fee day on Saturday.

Maybe it will make you feel better that you didn't arrive home to a house that had been hit hard by lightning! We were very lucky the house didn't burn down, but we still lost over $1,000 worth of electronics!

I hope you recovered very, very quickly!

Next year let's hope we can both stay the whole time of Chain Link! I enjoyed meeting you during the short time we were both there.
