New Product Weekly: Jordana Paige Bulter Tool Case

A few weeks ago, Jordana Paige sent me her Crafter's Tool Bulter.  I have been carrying it around playing with  how best to use it.  I have to be honest, I have mainly been carrying it around to polish me up a bit too.  It is really attractive and I have been using it as a clutch of sorts.  It reminds me to wear nice shoes, put on jewelry, and basically get out of typical crazed mom look.  Granted I have it stuffed with a diaper and wipes in one back pocket, crochet swatch in another, wallet/ cell in another, and pens/ hooks/ snacks in the front; but I look like a very cool mom with a tiny clutch instead of a huge bag.

Details (from website)
Store and organize your knitting and crochet tools in one smart and sassy compact case. The vegan, pebbled leather caddy makes carrying your collection of double-pointed needles, circular needles and crochet hooks a breeze. And with custom tab inserts and a needle inventory chart, you'll always know exactly what’s in your collection.

Features
• Six flat pockets for all sizes of double-pointed needles and crochet hooks.
• Four zippered accordion pockets for circular needles with label inserts for custom numbering.
• Mesh pocket for small items such as safety pins, stitch markers and darning needles.
• Knitting needle and crochet hook inventory chart.
• L 10.5" x W 2" x H 6.5"

My Take
Basically the clutch has 2 parts:  the front with holders for hooks/ scissors/ needles; and the back with 4 pockets for anything.  I have been toying around with those back pockets.  They are built for circular Tunisian hooks or knitting needles with tags that you fill out for whats inside.  But as you know me, I always have to think of other ideas.  I think the pockets would be great places for notes on your pattern, smartphone/ i phone/ kindle with your digital pattern downloaded, swatch organization for motif or stitch patterns you are working on for inspiration on the go, place for all your measuring tapes/ clips/ pins/ stuff that just doesn't fit anywhere and you always lose.  It certainly is great for anyone who crochets on the go and needs their whole studio with them (like I always seem to do.)

Giveaway
Ok, so here's the awesome part!  I have one to give to you (the one shown here).  Enter by leaving a comment (here/ twitter/ facebook/ or ravelry) on how you would use it (as I do as a mom, or as a crafter, or something else entirely).  Make sure you include a way for me to contact you if you win (email/ twitter/ facebook/ ravelry name).  I will pick a winner at random from all the entries on April 15th.  So get your comment to me by midnight (EST) on the 14th.  This is only open to US addresses only.  Hope you enjoy!

That is so cute! I would definitely use it to organize all my crochet hooks and stitch holders that I'm constantly loosing at the bottom of my craft bag. I hope I win it!

I really, really need to organize my crochet hooks and stitch markers so I would use it for that to start out with, but I'm sure it would quickly become full of anything I had laying around! LOL Thanks so much for the giveaway:)

I would use it to organize my crochet hooks and tunisian hooks. I need a better system than the make-up bag I'm currently using.

I'd use it for my crochet ( and knitting, don't tell!) tools. I need something that will keep them away from little hands.

I'd use it to organize all the hooks and needles and stitch markers at the bottom of my giant purse!

I desperately need something attractive and portable for circular needles, so that is what I would use this for. Thanks so much for hosting this giveaway.

I would keep it inside my larger bag to pull out for times when I choose to keep my big bag in the car bur still want to take something small with me (e.g., waiting in line at DMV).

What a great idea! I would use it to tame my crochet tools. Every time I lift up the couch cushions I find more stitch markers and yarn needles!

I would put my crochet hooks in it. I don't have anything to store them in.

It would most definitely be used for my crochet hooks, for once I'd finally be able to have everything in one spot instead of all my silly little containers!

Thanks for the chance to win! I think that this would be great to keep everything organized. It is small enough to carry around everywhere you go and still have everything that you need and more. You never know when you will have that free moment to crochet!

What a great clutch - it would be totally helpful to put in the hooks or needles I thought I would need for classes or travel and keep them organized and ready when needed. Thanks for the giveaway, I hope I win!

I would use it for both crafting and mom-ing. I think this one might be relegated to crochet, since I think it has more space for the hooks and larger paraphernalia that accompanies my crochet projects. Oooo - I could put that almost but not quite finished Bella Dress in it, sleeves and all!

I would use it for crafting and at work. It's compact so it would fit in my locker, and I could carry wallet items, small knit and crochet projects, craft tools and the other items I bring to work. I love your idea with the baby items.

It would be great for those little time filler projects (i.e. wash clothes, pot holders, doilies) for on the go.

Hi Robyn! I crochet and knit, and have had my eye on the Crafter's Tool Butler for a while now. I would use it for the usual crocheting and knitting tools and supplies, but since I am a dog trainer, it is very possible one pocket would contain treats and a clicker! Thanks for the give-away!

I would definitely use it like you do, but having the kindle in there is also very tantalizing. I love that tools will fit and if I'm smart, I will always have craft store coupons in there as well. Nice meeting you! I got here from Jordan''s blog. :) crobinator on ravelry.

What a great idea! I travel pretty regularly so I'd use it for my crochet hooks, scissors, tape measure, iphone and earplugs and notes. I love to listen to books while I crochet. Thanks for the chance to win!

Hmm, very interesting clutch. I too would hold my "go-to" hooks, tape measure, small scissors, and stich markers that are always at the bottom of bigger bags. But another thing I use a lot are sticky notes for stitch counting. Nothing has worked better for me and I always keep a pencil and 2 size sticky notes with me.

Hey it does look like a clutch! 'Twould hold my interchangeable and fixed circular knitting needles so I could grab them and go!

Cat said...

How would I use it? Easy! I carry Crochrt with me wherever I go, so can stay busy whirl waiting for the dentist, or doctor, and even crochet at church! This would help keep all things crochet at my fingertips!

Oh the diapers and wipes is a tempting option. Much classier than what I currently use. However, I am in greater need of a way to organize my overflowing knitting needle collection - circs especially. Rav amchart

I love this! I would use it to organize a single knit project with all the pattern, needles, markers, etc. but I would also include extra supplies in case I wander into the knit store and find another project. I'd probably also have my genetics flash cards shoved in there too. So I can study while I knit. (I'm pre-med) email is veebs (at) me (dot) com!

Kristie said...

I would probably use it to keep my most frequently used needles and hooks on hand in the Bagsmith Project Keeper I keep in the living room to corral my current projects (the rest of my supplies are kept in a back bedroom), but I think it would be great for also bringing those along nice and safely when I travel just in case I get inspired to buy and start a new project I wouldn't otherwise have the tools for. Thanks for the giveaway!

I would use it for my hooks on a regular basis because I always take my crocheting items with me everywhere (i get pretty bored everywhere so i crochet alot). It would be very helpful because I use a big purse and need small bags to organize my stuff.. Raquel816@gmail.com
