I would like to thank...

Since my original thank you's needed to be shortened for space. I wanted to post my long winded, but very heartfelt un-edited acknowledgments. I really do appreciate all the support that the wonderful community here has given me, and I just wanted to let you know that I love you all.

Acknowledgements:
If you asked me when I was six what I wanted to do when I grew up, I’d say I wanted to be a an art teacher. At 10, a jewelry maker. At 12, a clothing designer. Somewhere around 16, I changed over to bigger crafts, like theater set designer. Then in college it was an architectural engineer. So you and say that crafts and designing have been part of my dream job for as long as I can remember. This book is then the absolute icing on the cake for me. It has taken every part of my childhood dreams and made them all come true. I did not do it alone and there are many I would like to thank.

First and foremost, I would like to thank Interweave Press for taking a gamble on a relatively new but highly excitable crochet designer. Thank you Tricia Waddell for believing in me and this book from the very get go. Kim Werker for being my advocate from the very first pattern I designed to now. Katrina Vogel and Julie Holetz for making my rambling into a consistent and fluid piece of writing. Amy O’Neill Houck and Cecily Keim for cheering me on from the sidelines keeping my spirits high whenever I thought I bit off more then I could chew.

I had numerous talented and crafty crocheters help me make a lot of the samples for the book. Without their help I would have literally not slept for six months, so bless you for all your wonderful work. They are Rochelle Kaplan (my mom, I know she’s the best!), Rebecca DeSensi, Virginia Boundy, Chie O’Briant, Wilma Keith, Rebecca Velasquez, Megan Granholm, Tiffany Roots, Michelle Grissam, and Cecily Keim.

The yarns used in the book were all donated graciously by the yarn companies. Thank you so much for all your support and quick response to all my requests, I truly appreciate all that you have given me. They are Blue Sky Alpaca, Louet, Lily Chin Signature Collection, South West Trading Company, Lorna’s Laces, and Coats and Clark.

But most importantly, I would like to thank my friends and family. I have the most loving and caring community anyone could have. All your thoughts and kind words have touched me very much these past few months. To Gary and Nancy at B+G structural engineers, thank you for supporting my dreams and giving me the time off when I really need it. While writing this book, two incredibly important women played heavily on my mind. Even though, I did not get a lot of time with them growing up they have influenced everything I do. So thank you Grandma Rose and Bubbie, I know I am the crafty smart woman today because of you. To Courtney, thank you for being my lifelong cheerleader, best friend, and amazing sister. I especially would like to thank my parents, all six of them, for constantly supporting me whether if it was a listening ear or traveling to visit or just believing in me, I love you all. And to my family, Mark and Faye; you both mean more to me then I can ever express. Mark, I cannot tell you how blessed I am to have such an amazing partner for life. Thank you for sharing this amazing ride with me, and taking care of me when ever I was stressed or nervous. This book would never have happened with out all your love. And yes, Faye, now we can go for a walk.

Dedication:
To Faye, thank you for literally trotting into my life and changing it forever.
