10 years...

Its funny when milestones hit, they always put me in a reminiscent mood.

So let's step back 10 years...
It was a warm spring day, in the lovely State College Campus. The daffodils were popping up and the little robins were singing outside our architectural studio, while we all inside were hunched over our drafting desks busily sketching out our latest project. When my best friend, came over and handed me a cup of coffee and asked me to join him later that evening at the steps of Old Main. I said sure thinking nothing much of it since we always were hanging out, and went back to working. Later that evening, I found him under a tree next to Old Main with a blanket and picnic basket surrounded by daffodils. I got that butterfly feeling, where you just know something wonderful will happen. It was that evening, he let me in his heart and I let him in mine. We spent the entire evening and into the morning talking and laughing, as we always had, but with a new vision. A vision of us together. It wasn't until years later that we got married, but our life changed that day from being one person to a team. Its funny when you look back and think over the amazing things we have done together and how lucky we are to have found each other. It only makes me incredibly excited for the next decade and what it will bring us.
