This year we won't be able to be with the fam, which is a such a bummer since it is going to be my nephew's first year to ask the 4 questions. I am half wondering if I can get a cheap flight, just to see him.

We are doing a mini-Seder for ourselves tomorrow. So we feel a bit more connected I made my Bubbie's fabulous charosets (thanks mom!). I case any of you are like me away from the fam for Passover, I though you may like the recipe.

Charosets is basically an apple chutney. You can use in on anything from salad to yogurt or all by itself.

Recipe:
- 3 large apples (mom says mixing tart and sweet really livens it up, I like all Granny Smith)
- 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecan or almond (I like walnuts for their texture)
- 1/3 cup sweet wine (Kosher for Passover Manischewitz is fine)
- 3 tsp honey
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- and I threw in 1tsp ground ginger

Peel and chop apples, Toss all the ingredients in the food processor (I love mine!), Pulse till chopped into tiny pieces and well mixed, Place in frig for an hour, and enjoy!

I'm sorry I won't be able to. You will have to tape it for me! Or take lots of pictures.
